Peppered Bacon BBQ Burnt Ends
Pepper Bacon Burnt Ends
Everybody knows Kansas City is the home of burnt ends, a dish made from the charred end of the beef brisket. Paradise is all about heritage pork, and so we've got a cut that will blow your mind!
Bet you didn't know we save all the ends of our burnt pepper bacon and package them so that you have the perfect smoky cubes for saucing with your favorite barbecue sauce. (We have some tasty ones at our retail store, including a double-hit of bacon with Fantasma’s Finest Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce!)
We describe our cure as well-balanced, not being too sweet or too salty. It has a great blend of flavor, and we have used the same cure since 1995.
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350° F. Fit a baking sheet with a baking rack. Place 1-pound of Fantasma's Finest Black Pepper Bacon Burnt Ends on the rack and bake for 15-20 minutes. Save the bacon fat remaining in the pan for another use, such as popping popcorn. When the burnt ends have cooled slightly, slather with your favorite sauce and skewer with a toothpick as an appetizer or serve with white bread and Fantasma's Finest Dill Pickles.
